Eagle Volleyball tops Sandhills in 3-1 thriller
Wake Tech rallied from an 0-1 deficit to defeat Sandhills Community College 3-1 Thursday evening at Conlon Hall at the Scott Northern Wake Campus.

RALEIGH, NC – Wake Tech rallied from an 0-1 deficit to defeat Sandhills Community College 3-1 Thursday evening at Conlon Hall at the Scott Northern Wake Campus.
Sandhills, ranked eighth in the latest NJCAA Div. 3 poll, defeated the Eagles 25-20 in the opening set. Wake Tech tied the match with a 25-19 victory in the second set and claimed the third set 25-21.
Trailing 24-21 in the fourth set to the Flyers, the Eagles outscored Sandhills 7-2 for the thrilling 28-26 victory and win the match.
Wake Tech travels to Pitt Community College on Monday for a tri-match. The Eagles play Lenoir Community College at 4pm and host Pitt at 6pm.
