Women's soccer edges conference leader Sea Devils
Wake Tech Women's Soccer edged Cape Fear Community College 2-1 Monday afternoon at WRAL Soccer Park giving the Sea Devils their first loss in conference play.

RALEIGH, NC - Wake Tech Women's Soccer edged Cape Fear Community College 2-1 Monday afternoon at WRAL Soccer Park giving the Sea Devils their first loss in conference play.
Cape Fear took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Alyssa Wright from Halie Blizzard at the 15' mark. The Sea Devils (8-2-1; 6-1) would take that one goal margin into halftime.
Wake Tech (6-2-1; 5-1-1) scored eight minutes into second half when Christina Olivares scored off an Emily Parker assist. Iris Granados scored the winning goal unassisted in the final eight minutes of the game.
The Eagles wrap-up the 2022 regular season on Wednesday at 1:30pm against Patrick & Henry Community College at the WRAL Soccer Park Stadium Field.
