WSoc: Eagles Set for Region X Tournament
Wake Tech will play nationally ranked Cape Fear.
It hasn't taken long for women's soccer to bounce back under the direction of first-year head coach Kristopher Hanks.
The Eagles, currently 8-6-1 are insured to finish the 2018 season above .500. Wake Tech has been led by two solid performers on the offensive side of the field. Rachel Ericson Cornett is ranked across the conference (Top 15 in Goals, Assists, and Total Points), and Emma Hukill is ranked in the Top 15 in Assists.
Combine offensive prowess with solid goalkeeping from Rachel Howard and Wake Tech is looking like a team no one should take lightly in the postseason.
Wake Tech will have an opportunity to knock off a highly regarded Region X opponent this Saturday as the Region X Tournament begins in Allendale, SC.
The Eagles are up against Region X regular season Champions and 15th ranked Cape Fear Community College.
USC Salkehatchie serves as the host of the 2018 Region X Tournament.
Wake Tech vs Cape Fear kicks off at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 27th.
