Annual Play4Kay women's basketball game set for Tuesday, February 10
RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake Tech women's basketball is set to host their annual Play4Kay game on Tuesday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. against Brunswick at the Southern Wake Campus. The Eagles will wear their alternate pink uniforms, and pink Wake Tech rally towels will be provided by Wake Tech Student Activities. Before the game, there will be a ceremonial tip off with a cancer survivor.
Last year, the NJCAA partnered with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and named it its charity of choice.
What is Play4Kay?
The vision of Play4Kay came directly from Coach Kay Yow.
Through Play4Kay, our national grassroots movement in sports, she saw a way to bring communities together and honor cancer warriors, survivors, and thrivers in the fight against cancer.
Uniting players, coaches, officials and fans to do something for the greater good that far exceeds wins and losses in competition, the Play4Kay initiative is our largest fundraiser and plays a major role in our success.
More than a cause. A movement.

Tuesday's Game
The Eagles are looking to build on the momentum from their 77-67 win over Richard Bland on Thursday night. They fell narrowly to the Dolphins in the season opener back on November 5, losing 63-60. Freshman guard Iveonna Ward is the team's leading scorer (16.8 PPG), and her partner in the back court, Malayah Hines, has scored in double figures for five straight games, including a career-high 24 points in Thursday's win.
