CARY, N.C. — Wake Tech (18-20, 12-15 conf.) baseball completed the sweep over Patrick & Henry on Sunday afternoon with a 9-1 win in seven innings.
Caden Richardson got the start for the Eagles and went six strong innings, allowing just one run, and picking up his third win of the campaign. It was his third six-inning outing of the season. He now leads the team with a 4.95 ERA, and is eighth among qualified Region 10 DII pitchers.
Chance Turner came in to pitch the seventh, and retired the side in order.
Blake Russell finished 3-5 at the plate, including two doubles, with one rune scored and four RBI.
Colton Mayes went 2-4 with two RBI.
Cameron Rickabaugh moved up to the leadoff spot for Sunday's finale, reaching base three times and scoring three runs.
The Eagles return to the North Main Athletic Complex Stadium this Wednesday for their fourth contest against Louisburg. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00, and the game will be streamed on YouTube.
