After five years with Wake Tech baseball, Eric Sibrizzi will accept a position as an Assistant Coach at William Peace University in Raleigh. Sibrizzi served three years as head coach and two years as an assistant coach. He leaves an indelible mark on the program. Coach Sibrizzi was an architect of 144 wins, 85 of them at the helm.
In five seasons, he coached 20 All-Region X performers, six players that made the Region X All-Defensive Team, and two All-Americans. His player achievements also include an MLB 6th round draft pick, Austin Warren, who was selected by the Angels in the 2018 draft.
"I would like to thank Barry Street for entrusting me with the program and thank my wife for the continued support and for all of the work she did to make sure our players and their families had a great experience," said Sibrizzi, "I would also like to thank all past and current players and their families for choosing Wake Tech and allowing me to be involved in their lives on a daily basis. These players have excelled on and off the field, have been held accountable, have given back to the community, and have done it all with love, great energy, and selflessness. (E.A.G.L.E.S) I feel like the program is in a great place with an outstanding group of guys who are ready to win a Region X Championship! I'm excited about this next opportunity and looking forward to continuing to strengthen the pipeline between Wake Tech players and the William Peace baseball program."
